As the Government of India (GoI) has made QR (Quick Response) Code mandatory for GST Invoices, it is important to be able to read and handle the information hidden in the code.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) issued the notification back in December 2019. The notification covers all suppliers, who have obtained GST Registration and are making a taxable supply. The objective of the notification is to simplify access to GST invoices.
The notification and use of QR codes are mandatory from April 2020.

Read and use the QR information during the OCR-interpretation using ReadSoft Invoices.
Compare the QR fields against the fields interpreted from the hard copy of the Invoice.
Validate if the QR Code is signed with a public key.
